Currently listening to Danger – Migos ft Marshmello
To be honest I don’t really have a good hair care routine and it is because I’m just plain lazy but as a proper Nigerian that I am I have to blame it on the country! Most of the time I’m super exhausted at the end of the day and I totally ignore my hair. Recently I’ve been trying to make a conscious effort to actually look after my hair and its all thanks to Ziza. The set consisted of an organic shampoo, a leave-in conditioner and a growth oil.
Organic Conditioning Shampoo
It comes in a 500ml bottle and has a more fluid consistency than my regular shampoos. The first thing I noticed about it was that it didn’t foam as expected and I was a bit sceptical about its efficiency but to my surprise it did its job and well too. It thoroughly cleaned my hair without stripping it of all its moisture.
Ingredients: Water, African Black Soap, Honey, Castor Oil, Coconut oil, Castor oil, Vit E, Rosemary essential oil, Tea tree essential oil and peppermint essential oil
Price: #1,500
Leave-In Conditioner
It comes in a 250ml spray bottle and is said to be Detangling, Hydrating and Glossing. I use this product every single day and it is definitely an amazing product and probably my best too. I have very dry scalp so I tend to stay off sew ins, its been almost a month now and my scalp feels so moisturized! It is safe to say it has joined the Hall of Fame of Holy Grail Products.
Ingredients: Water, Olive oil, Shea, Avocado oil, Keratin, Coconut and Argan oil.
Price: #1,500
Hair Rejuvinating and Growth Oil
This was legit the first product I tried out and it was love at first use! It comes in a 50ml spray bottle. Because of the consistency it does not come out the regular way. On application it gives a very cooling effect on the scalp, however the minty smell was quite intense and that put me off. On average, I use this product about 3-4 times a week mostly on my edges and I can say for a fact that my scalp is much healthier and free of dandruff. It has also kept my edges intact while carrying my braids.
Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinensis, Argania Spinosa, Rianus Communis, Tea tree oil, Cocos Nucifera, Peppermint oil, Sweet Almond oil, Grapeseed oil, Henna extract.
Price: #1,500
I’m a sucker for aesthetically pleasing packaging and this product here definitely didn’t live up to expectation. Asides the packaging I do not have any other issues with these products and I definitely will be repurchasing. Overall rating will be 8/10 because it did all it said it would do and it is also affordable! Do have an awesome week ahead and stay blessed!
Cheers!!

I don’t take care of my hair enough and that’s bad. I’ve also tried couple of methods and products to erase dandruff but to no avail.
I think God for wigs because it’s been saving my life forever

My edges got damaged due to protective styling. My hair wouldn’t know rest then, lately last year I started Wiggin my hair and I have time to fix my edges.

Hey Uzzy, great review and your nails are beautiful.
I love that we are having more Nigerian brands make hair products. the ingredients list of the oil is actually very good, jojoba, coconut, castor, tea tree, argan, peppermint, wow! those are good oils that aid hair growth and take good care of the hair. The only reason that I would consider buying these products would be because I read people’s reviews and the rating was really good, the packaging is not pleasing one bit and sometimes packaging helps attract people to a product and consider buying it.
I take good care of my hair. I have good hair days and bad ‘i-really-don’t-care’ days too but when it comes to hair care, I try to be consistent because consistency with the right products and hair care tips is what will ensure healthy, long hair. And I do these by incorporating my hair care into my everyday life like applying deep conditioner and doing laundry or watching tv or reading a book, oiling and massage my scalp immediately after oiling my body in the morning, washing and conditioning my hair in the shower right before my evening shower. Basically, I try not to see taking care of my hair as a chore or a task but as something fun and good to do for my own benefit.
Once again great post!
Cheers! xoxo..Fehintola

I’m transitioning and I’ve been looking for a good kit. Whenever I take out my weave myself and decide to wash at home, it’s war. I don’t like going to the salon all the time so I’m contemplating buying them. I like the fact that they are organic and help with dandruff. Thanks for the info.
