Good skin is something I’ve always bragged about for a long time and to be honest I neglected it. It was only when I started wearing makeup more frequently I realized the role of a healthy skin in achieving that flawless look, this was when I began my search for skincare products that worked well for my skin and were affordable as well. In today’s post I’ll be sharing with you the Beauty Formulas product that I use and why I use them as well as some other products I use to keep my skin clean and moisturized.

CLEANSING

For close to a year now I’ve been using organic black soap to cleanse my face and they have been pretty efficient. I opted for black soap because they contain natural ingredients and can be used on the body as well. It is advisable to use with a beauty massager or with a face towel to ensure proper cleaning of the facial pores. I’m currently using the Arawa Organic Black Soap (price: #2,500). Other options include the Beauty Formulas Konjac Cleanser (price: #850)

EXFOLIATING

This product right here is worth every coin I got it for, I have been using it since the beginning of the year and I haven’t even used up to half. I picked the Beauty Formulas Honey and Almond facial scrub (Price: #1,100) because my main goal wasn’t to get rid of my oils but to ensure they are moderately distributed all round my face and I realized products that contained honey worked well with my overall system. Another tried and tested product is the Beauty Formulas Black Head Removal Facial Scrub (price: #1,100). It is advisable to exfoliate at least twice a week and for really oily skin steaming your face before exfoliating really does wonders.

MASKING

OK so I know I said I boasted about my good skin but we all know that nobody is perfect and for as long as I can remember I’ve struggled with large pores. And from my numerous research I have come to the conclusion that the best thing to do for my pores is to keep them clean always and that’s why I use the Beauty Formulas Tea Tree Deep Cleansing facial mask (price: #1,000) and for a fact this product thoroughly cleans my face. However, this mask drys out my face so I go in with a DIY Sheet mask. Because this mask is extremely drying I only use it twice a week and the DIY one 4 times a week.

TONER

Toner is one product I’ve always thought wasn’t necessary and felt I could neglect because I wasn’t seeing any tangible effect but this Miniso Intensive Hydration Toner with Sodium Hyaluronate (price: #1,000) is a must have (read all about it here). I use this toner twice (Morning and night) daily

MOISTURIZER

A lot of times we have a misconception that if we moisturize it will make our skin more oily but Ije of Beautyfrenzyshop educated me on how proper moisturizing of the face actually helps to control oil production! Ever since I started using the Beauty Formulas Konjac moisturizer (price: #860) I can’t begin to explain how supple my skin feels and looks!

TREATMENT

Every now and then our skin will probably go through some tough times due to life being unfair. Whenever my skin starts to break out I go in with my Beauty Formulas on the Spot Treatment (price: #850). I use this product because it contains Salicylic acid which helps to unclog pores and help with dark spots and blemishes. An alternative to this product is the Beauty Formulas Tea Tree Skin Clarifying Blemish Gel (price: #770)

ALL PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE AT ANY SHOPRITE MALL AS WELL AS ONLINE ON JUMIA.COM (PRICES MAY VARY)

Beauty Formulas is a brand I decided to try out because I was on a budget but I soon realized that they work so well for me and I’m not just talking about their Skincare range. I believe they formulated their products to work on just about any skin and they tackle specific issues, hence the wide range. So if you’re like me and you want to look boujee on a budget, I hope this post has helped you in one way or the other. Do have a lovely week and stay Blessed!

Cheers!!
