A Year Older, Blogging and Insecurities

Currently listening to Chris Brown ft Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne – Look at me now

Growing up birthdays were my thing. Once we got into the ember month I would start counting down to December 9, loudly too. It used to drive my family crazy 😂. However, in recent years reverse has been the case and I honestly can’t pinpoint what attributed to it. Anyway before I start ranting I want to say I’m actually really grateful to be alive and for that I say Thank you God!

Blogging – Goals and All

So my blog turned 1 in September and I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it this far. At the beginning of this year I had no plans whatsoever for my blog, I was literally just winging it. It wasn’t until later I started to take it serious and put in effort that it started to grow. I penned down some goals, made plans that I hoped I would fulfill before this date.

It was/is really amazing to realize people actually enjoy my content and look forward to my posts. I started with very little and nothing much has changed, I always try as much as possible to make do with what I have. Also having a 9-5 job didn’t help either, sleepless nights and no rest were practically a norm for me. That being said, this new year I’m  definitely penning down big plans for my blog as well as other personal goals.

Personal Growth and Insecurities

It’s easier to talk about Insecurities when they’re physical because a lot of people seem to relate however a lot of times people with psychological insecurities are the ones who hide them the most. This year I battled with inferiority complex, at some point I didn’t want to accept it and I kept fighting it. What helped was surrounding myself with people who inspired me greatly and appreciated my works, it really helped to improve how I see myself. That’s what I call growth, seeing a significant change in yourself as you turn older. I’m still under construction as my ootd implies…lol and I’m thankful to God for where I’ve been, where I am and where I’m going.
